Introducing ElevenPointRiverFloat.com: A New Guide to Missouri’s Wild River
The Eleven Point River is one of the quietest, clearest float rivers in the Ozarks: 44 miles of spring-fed National Scenic River running through the Mark Twain National Forest, with long stretches you can paddle and see more herons than people. It deserved a guide built just for it, so Tobler Haus Digital Studio designed and built one from the ground up.
Built to help you plan a float. Everything on the site points toward one question: how do I get on this river? Here’s what visitors will find:
- Live river conditions. The homepage pulls the current USGS gauge reading at Riverton, so you can check flow and gauge height before you head out, with a full forecast and river levels one click away.
- An interactive float picker. Tap any two access points to see the stretch on the map, the river miles, a rough paddling time and how long the shuttle drive takes.
- Every access point, every float. All eleven access points, from Thomasville to Highway 142, have their own page, along with suggested day and overnight floats like the classic Greer Crossing to Riverton.
- Printable maps and sheets. Cell service on the Eleven Point is spotty at best, so the river map and trip sheets are ready to print and toss in a dry bag.
- Where to rent, stay and eat. Outfitters, lodging, float camps and restaurants around Alton are gathered in one place.
Fast, modern and made for the river. The site is built as a lightweight static site, so pages load quickly even on a weak signal at the put-in. The design takes its palette from the river itself, with forest greens, sage, sand and clay, and it works cleanly on any phone.
A passion project at heart. This one is personal. The Eleven Point made a lasting impression on our team after an overnight float from Cane Bluff to Riverton, and this site is our way of sharing it, with honest, firsthand guidance and more articles on the way.
