Giving a Classic Ozarks Guide a New Look

For years, CurrentRiver.net has been a go-to resource for anyone planning to canoe, kayak or float the Current and Jacks Fork Rivers in the Ozark National Scenic Riverways. People kept finding it, but the site behind it was showing its age. OmniCreative took on a full rebuild and redesign with one goal: keep everything visitors love and make it far easier to use.

What we kept. The site has always been an exhaustive guide, with river maps, springs, caves, bluffs, live USGS river stages, regulations, history, photo tours and float videos. We preserved that depth so years of content and search visibility carried straight into the new version.

What we rebuilt.

  • Mobile-first layout. Most trip planning happens on a phone, often at a campsite or put-in, so the site now adapts cleanly to any screen.
  • Clearer navigation. Content is organized into Current River, Jacks Fork and ONSR Park sections, so visitors can jump straight to what they need.
  • Interactive trip planner. The new Plan Your Visit tool helps visitors find outfitters, lodging, restaurants and local attractions in one place.
  • Modern foundations. Accessibility improvements, better social sharing previews and updated SEO help the site perform as well as it looks.

The result is a fresh, fast and useful guide that still feels like the river itself: unhurried and welcoming.
